When you have prepared your research proposal and supporting documents, click on the link below to complete the application form and upload your research proposal and supporting documents.

- You will be asked short-answer and multi-choice questions about your contact details, and background information about you and your studies.
- The most important part of the application asks you for information about yourself, and your research proposal.

In no more than 1000 words, tell us a about your research project. Include:
- Information about yourself and members of the research team. If you are a student, please identify your supervisor(s).
- Title of, and rational for the project.
- The research question or aim being addressed.
- A description of the methodology including research design/approach, details of sampling strategy and how you will collect and analyse the data.
- A statement of what your research will add to the body of knowledge and how it will benefit women and girls.
- Your plan for disseminating your results.
- An indication of your future plans, and how receiving an award would contribute to these.
Consider these tips from a panellist:
- Showcase your growth and development: Share your journey of personal and professional growth.
- Articulate your passion and purpose: Clearly convey your passion for your work and how it aligns with the mission and values of the award or organisation. Show how your dedication and commitment have been instrumental in driving your mahi. A well-crafted narrative can leave a lasting impression.
Step 2: Your academic record
Obtain the following documents before you are ready to go online and complete the application form:
- A copy of your academic record or academic CV.
- A letter of support from your sponsor, or supervisor if you are undertaking this research as an Honours, Masters or Doctoral student.
- A project budget and timeline.
